The Forgotten Elm Street Child
The INCOMPLETE Nightmare

The Forgotten Elm Street Child takes place a few years after the events in Freddy's Dead.  It follows Gary and Jackie Mitchell and their three children as they travel across the US to visit relatives.  On the way they stop off at Springwood - now a ghost town.

Gary's family had moved away from Springwood when he was a child following the death of his sister at the murderous hands of the Springwood Slasher.  Gary's parents were also involved in the killing of Freddy, making him another Elm Street Child - the one that got away.  The Forgotten Elm Street Child.

The Springwood Slasher

Dead, but never forgotten

What happened to 'The Forgotten Elm Street Child'?

A third of the way into the script I decided to stop.  If I didn't stop here then when would I stop?  After this script?  After the next script?  Maybe the one after that!  'Cousins Dream Alike' and 'Freddy Vs Springwood' served a purpose -  the only reason for writing 'The Forgotten Elm Street Child' was to keep Freddy alive.  I realised that at some point Freddy would have to die for good and that was done in the aptly named 'Freddy's Dead'.  Therefore, 'The Forgotten Elm Street Child' shall remain...  Forgotten!

Having recently located "The Forgotten Elm Street Child" after more than a decade, I have decided to add it to this site.  If you decide to check it out, please be advised that this is the FIRST DRAFT of an INCOMPLETE script.

The script features the first 50+ scenes in running order then jumps to the "Thriller" scenes (which have now been re-vamped and included in my recent Nightmare project - Springwood High).

At this moment in time I have no intentions of ever completing this script.

This script features a remake of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video with Freddy (before and after burning) replacing MJ/Werewolf. A friend of mine wrote the lyrics for it (see below)

"SPRINGWOOD" Lyrics by Heleena (1994) taken from the incomplete script 'The Forgotten Elm Street Child' (1993).  To be sung to the tune of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'

VERSE ONE  It's Close to sleeptime, and something evil's lurking in your dream

Inside your nightmare, he's about to pounce and ready to make you scream

Try not to sleep, 'cos Freddy's in there waiting for your entry

You start to dream, and very soon you're fighting for your life, you're slashed with his knives

CHORUS  'Cos this is Springwood; Freddy's town

And in this place you have no right to live 'cos he wants your life

Yeah this is Springwood; Freddy's town

You're fighting for your life because he's gonna kill you tonight

VERSE TWO  He starts to chase you, but as you run you fall down to the ground

You hide behind a bush and sit there trying not to make a sound

He knows you're there, but teasingly pretends he cannot see you

He bides his time,  then pounces from behind surprisingly and slashes your body

REPEAT CHORUS

Night starts to fall and your bed starts to call; you feel so fatigue

There's no escape 'cos you can't stay awake this time (chant freddy's rhyme)

This could be the end of your life.

VERSE THREE  You hear his cold blades, sending shivers up and down your your back

While in the dark streets, you're almost being killed from a heart attack

You're all alone, and no one knows that Freddy's out there with you

You try to scream, but no one seems to hear your fading cries; you're paralysed.

REPEAT CHORUS

Darkness falls, everybody's home

But in your dreams you're all alone

Freddy waits for you to sleep

So in your nightmare he can creep

And though you try to stay awake your eyes are getting heavy

At morning time when the sun comes up

Your body they shall bury

(1,2, Freddy's coming for you...)

Jason Voorhees and Chucky both have cameo roles in "The Forgotten Elm Street Child"
